Joe Biden’s most recent tweet dissing Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene was one of the nastiest political burns of the year, and the funny thing is he did it without even typing a word.

Unhinged criticism

Greene has been a vocal opponent of Biden ever since she took office but her unhinged criticisms of the president have been slowly building in their absurdity in recent months, though most have been ill-conceived and poorly thought through.

Comparing presidents

The most recent harang from Greene saw her comparing Biden with the presidents of the country's past, two in particular that have proven to be the bugaboos of conservative nightmares, Franklin Delanor Roosevelt and Lyndon B. Johnson.

Greene’s comments

“Joe Biden had the largest public investment in social infrastructure and environmental programs,” Greene said in a voiceover of a promotional video she posted to her official Twitter account.

Complaining about Biden

“That is actually finishing what FDR started, that LBJ expanded on, and Joe Biden is attempting to complete,” Greene’s voiceover continued, going on to complain about the programs the president was hoping to finish in the same vein as his predecessors.

Programs to address

Greene noted programs to address education, medical care, and urban problems were all things the president was working on, adding rural poverty, transportation, and labor unions to the list of things she apparently had issues with Biden working to make better.

Confusing for most

The video was probably a bit confusing for most Americans since the programs Greene listed have been some of the most popular throughout the country according to The Hill, citing a New York Times article on Biden's popular policies versus his personal unpopularity.

Biden’s policies are generally popular

That might be why the White House seized on the opportunity presented by the Georgia Congresswoman to take a dig at her utter lack of self-awareness and obvious detached understanding of the country’s pulse.

You caught us!

Caught us,” White House officials posted to Twitter alongside a portion of Greene’s recent speech at the Turning Point Action Conference where she went off about how Biden was similar to Lyndon B. Johnson, both of which she called Democratic Socialists.

Working to make life easier

“President Biden is working to make life easier for hardworking families,” the tweet from the White House added. But the backhanded criticism of Greene didn't stop there. In a rare move, the president actually took the time to address Greene’s original video directly.

“I approve this message”

However, Biden didn’t really have to say anything. Greene had already done enough of the selling on what the president was trying to do for everyday Americans. So he simply reposted the Georgia Congresswoman’s video, only saying: “I approve this message.”

Spreading like wildfire

It was a less-than-subtle burn but one that had got the country talking. The Independent noted Greene’s remarks “spread like wildfire on social media” and accounts retweeted the message as if it were a reelection ad for Biden’s 2024 presidential bid.

Not really an attack

“Marjorie Taylor Greene thought her recent speech was an attack on ⁦POTUS⁩,” Tweeted California Democratic Congressman Ted Lieu. “It’s actually a huge compliment…. More of this please.” Lieu wouldn’t be the only Democratic to pick up Greene’s big mistake.

“Guilty as charged”

New York Congressman Ritchie Torres also reacted to Greene’s comments, calling her a “recovering member of the House Freedom Caucus” and letting her know Biden and Democrats were “guilty as charged” for attempting to finish “what FDR started.”

The state of American politics

While this mistake may give Biden a little boost it hits at the heart of issues with today’s modern American politics. One group of politicians seems to be doing what they can to help the average American while another group their efforts at the end of the nation.

Little understanding

Extending social programs to those who need them might not be the best way to lower the national debt but it's an essential part of building a properly functioning nation, which is a concept politicians like Marjorie Taylor Greene just don’t seem to understand.
