Lindsey Graham voices anger with fellow Republicans backing VP Harris
South Carolina Senator and major supporter of Donald Trump Lindsey Graham voiced his frustration with other Republicans for supporting the former president’s Democratic opponent in the upcoming 2024 Election.
While speaking on the NBC News program Meet the Press on October 20th, Graham slammed the Republicans who have backed Vice President Kamala Harris to lead the nation over Trump for the next four years.
“What the h*** are you doing?” Graham questioned rhetorically. “You’re supporting the most radical nominee in the history of American politics,” the South Carolina Senator said according to a quote published by The Hill.
“The danger to this country is the policies of Biden and Harris,” Graham added. “Her fingerprints are all over this disaster. And I can’t take four more years of this crap,” Graham continued before voicing more of his anger.
“When you support her, you’re supporting four more years of garbage policy,” he said. “So what the h*** are you doing as a Republican, blessing this stuff?” Graham added in an interesting rebuke to GOP colleagues choosing the other side in 2024.
An NBC News article on Graham’s television comments noted that several high-profile Republicans have expressed their support for Harris over Trump, including Republican representatives Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger.
Harris hasn’t only seen endorsements from active Republican representatives either. There has been a whole slew of other major endorsements from former Republicans and GOP members backing the Vice President.
Former Vice President Richard Cheney, former Trump administration White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham, and Olivia Troye, the former national security advisor to Vice President Mike Pence, have all backed Harris according to ABC News.
More than 200 Republicans who worked under George Bush, George W. Bush, Senator John McCain, and Senator Mitt Romney have also come out in full support of Harris in a public letter published by the individuals in September.
"We reunite today, joined by George H.W. Bush alumni, to reinforce our 2020 statements and, for the first time, jointly declare that we’re voting for Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov. Tim Walz this November," read according to USA Today.
"We have plenty of honest, ideological disagreements with Vice President Harris and Gov. Walz. That's to be expected. The alternative, however, is simply untenable," the letter added in a harsh denunciation of the former president.
