The first blow is half of the battle

“Today, we are quite ready to destroy the entire nuclear potential of England and France with a single strike. This will be one of the options for deterring the United States from striking Russia”, Gurulev confidently declared, as quoted by Newsweek.

95% of devastation

Gurulev, who served as a tank commander before getting into politics, predicted that 95% of US territory would be devastated because of Washington’s escalation.

'Nothing left of America'

“There will essentially be nothing left of America, which is trying to drag us into escalation. There will be no Biden or Trump. America is being inflicted with 95 percent total damage,” predicted the tank commander turned into lawmaker.

Nuclear ping pong

The comments made on the show were a response to the United States allowing Ukraine to use long-range American-made ATACMS missiles against Russia in the Kursk region.

Biden's busy final days

After months of requests by the Kyiv government, headed by Volodymyr Zelensky, the Biden Administration caved in just weeks before Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States.

Trump's stance

Trump, during his presidential campaign, has criticized the US commitment to NATO and in Ukraine in particularly, promising to cut financial aid to Kyiv.

At the same time, the once and future US President also has praised Russian President Vladimir Putin, calling him a genius.

A third world war?

As the escalation between Moscow and the West increases, the threat of a third world war crosses the minds of many people, along with the fear of nuclear Armageddon.

Out with a whimper?

Others, however, believe that the decline and demise of the United States won’t be a sudden bang, but with a slow, painful whimper as the American influence around the globe dwindles.
