This 14-year-old prodigy just got his dream job at SpaceX
Kairan Quazi has just graduated as a software engineer from Santa Clara University in California. And that at the age of 14!
"When I told my third grade science teacher that her knowledge of gravity was insufficient, I was put on her naughty list for the rest of the year." This is what Kairan wrote about himself in 2019, when he was just 9 years old, in the Huffpost.com.
This exceptionally talent young man was born on January 27, 2009 in the US state of California. When he started third grade, his parents Mustahid and Julie Quazi (pictured) realized he was under-challenged.
According to the German newspaper Tagesschau, he then received special lessons and had already mastered 19 programming languages in the fourth grade.

Writing as a guest writer for The Huffpost at the age of 9, Kairan wrote: "After doctors tested my IQ in the third grade and found it to be higher than 99.9 percent of people and my EQ (emotional intelligence) was also surprisingly high, everything changed and adults started taking me more seriously."
When he started studying at the age of 11, he was of course the only one of his age, but that didn't bother him.
According to the news, the teenager told a CBS local station. "There's nothing different there. I've made a lot of friends. And after a few days it wasn't special that I was there."

Now Elon Musk has hired the highly talented 14-year-old for his space company SpaceX. Kairan is scheduled to start in July 2023. For this he will move with his mother to the city of Redmond in the state of Washington.
He is said to be working there as the youngest programmer for the satellite communications service Starlink. Kairan Quazi wrote on Instagram that he had accepted the offer from "one of the coolest companies on this planet".
His outstanding talent and future job at SpaceX has made headlines around the world. But when the future software engineer tried to create a LinkedIn profile, he ran into problems...

His profile was immediately deleted from LinkedIn. The reason: You have to be at least 16 years old to have a profile on the social media platform. And cheating isn't really possible for a young celebrity like Kairan.

The underage software engineer posted the story with humor on his Instagram account. He will just have to wait until can have an account at the age of 13.
But there are other things that SpaceX's youngest employee has to wait for: in two years he can get his driver's license in the USA, in four years he can vote and in seven years he can order his first beer.
