Marjorie Taylor Greene's controversial birthday post still has everyone talking
Just a short while ago, Marjorie Taylor Greene turned 50 and took to her social media platforms to celebrate. Little did she expect the wave of backlash that would come her way.
The post, which featured a picture of Greene in a bikini, went viral on X. It was viewed more than 20,000 times, reposted 688 times, and received more than 3,000 comments in two hours.
Greene wrote that while many people think turning 50 is "a bad thing," she feels "it's wonderful and I'm so excited and grateful God let me live 50 years and do so many things

Greene continued, "From being the first person to graduate college in my family, to carrying 3 babies in my womb and the absolute miracle of 3 childbirths, to raising my children and teaching them about God's creation and man's dangers, to running successful businesses and carrying the weight of the responsibility, being a member of congress.... and most importantly God's grace that I don't deserve but am thankful for beyond words, my 50 years have been an incredible journey that I'm thrilled to be on."
Marjorie Taylor Greene's fellow Republicans were quick to congratulate her, and she even received a shout-out from Donald Trump's former lawyer, Jenna Ellis, who wrote to the Congresswoman that ", "Age is a gift from the Lord."
Unfortunately for Marjorie, most of the other comments were not so positive. For example, as reported by Newsweek, Greene wrote the post after briefly writing a Memorial Day message prior to her own celebratory birthday post, which her critics did not appreciate.
Eric Rosen, a public relations consultant, wrote on X, "A Memorial Day message from MTG. 'Me, me, me, me…'
Others made comments on X and Twitter that Greene only posted the photo of herself in a bikini on her birthday as a way to rebuke the comments Rep. Jasmine Crockett made about her "butch built bod."

The feud between Greene and Crockett kicked off during a House Oversight Committee meeting about Attorney General Merrick Garland when Greene said to Crockett: "I think your fake eyelashes are messing up what you're reading," the HuffPost reported.
Chaos ensued, which eventually led Jasmine Crockett to ask House Oversight Committee chair James Comer: "I'm just curious, just to better understand your ruling. If someone on this committee then starts talking about somebody's bleach blonde, bad built, butch body, that would not be engaging in personalities, correct?"
The duo's exchange went viral, so the terrain was ripe when MTG posted her bikini photo, and it is no surprise the Congresswoman received comments such as "She's SO desperate to convince us all she isn't bleached blonde butch body and bad built when she is," on her social media post.
