MTG took things a little too far by sharing 'revealing' photos of Hunter Biden

The Hunter Biden obsession by some members of the Republican Party hits a new low after Georgia Representative Marjorie shared allegedly n a k e d pictures of Hunter Biden during a House Oversight and Accountability Committee hearing.

The June 19 hearing, People Magazine explains, was meant to focus on if there was political interference in the Justice Department investigation regarding supposed irregularities in Hunter Biden’s taxes.

Website The Hill explains that the Republican Georgia Representative was meant to question two IRS whistleblowers that claim that the investigation was delayed on purposes.

The Washington Post describes the images shared by Marjorie Taylor Green as photographs of a woman caressing Hunter Biden’s… you know, Washington Monument.

The Georgia Representative claimed that the pictures were necessary to support evidence in an alleged tax fraud coverup after the First Son reached an apparent agreement to declare himself guilty of two tax-related charges.

Taylor Greene argues that these were evidence that Hunter Biden was engaging in sex acts and listing those payments as tax write-offs, Forbes magazine explains.

Many have questioned the importance of these pictures, particularly given the context of asking questions to the witnesses.

Maryland Representative Jamie Baskin, who was among the democrats in the committee, criticized the use of the pictures as props as “completely irrelevant”, as quoted by Forbes magazine.

The Hill pointed out that one of the whistleblowers, Special IRS Agent Joseph Ziegler, didn’t confirm if Biden had used his company to write off payments to sex workers.

Ziegler, however, believed that that deductions were made for escorts and that a payment made to supposedly a golf club was really for a s e x club.

“This is actually the evidence that I believe the American people deserve to see,” Taylor Greene defended herself on Newsmax, as cited by The Washington Post.

The Washington Post remarks that this isn’t the first time US conservatives have shown n a k e d pictures of Joe Biden’s son in public.

In 2021, former Fox News host Tucker Carlson shared an image of what appeared to be Hunter Biden fooling around with two women.

Though it’s hard to deny that the younger Biden has had a turbulent personal life, some argue that exposing his personal life like this seems to be more a matter of public humiliation than journalistic report.

Two days after the pictures were shown, Abe David Lowell, Hunter Biden’s attorney, submitted an ethics complaint against Marjorie Taylor Greene.

“Rather than evaluate the credibility of the IRS agents’ testimony or review our tax laws, Ms. Greene sought to use the power of her office to generate some clicks online” stated the letter submitted by Biden's attorney, as quoted by The Hill.
