Marjorie Taylor Greene's most outlandish statements in 2022
Marjorie Taylor Greene certainly had a lot to say in 2022. Whether you love MTG or you hate her, she certainly keeps the media on their toes and provides lots of water-cooler chatter. Join us as we re-visit MTG's most outlandish statements in 2022.
Marjorie Taylor Greene tweeted an edited video featuring Joe Biden with a Hitler-esque mustache and an audio clip of the Nazi leader.

In another tweet, the Georgia congresswoman wrote: "Joe Biden is Hitler. #NaziJoe has to go."
Greene's comments came following President Biden's speech which criticized "MAGA forces" and said that the group was "determined to take this country backward."
In July 2022, MTG suggested in a videotaped podcast that the shootings on the Fourth of July, such as the one in Highland Park, Illinois, were fabricated to so that Republicans would support gun restrictions.
“Here’s what I have to say. I mean. Two shootings on July 4: one in a rich white neighborhood and the other at a fireworks display."
"It almost sounds like it’s designed to persuade Republicans to go along with more gun control. I mean, after all, we didn’t see that happen at all the pride parades in the month of June,” Greene said.
Greene then continued, “But as soon as we hit the MAGA month, as soon as we hit the month that we’re all celebrating, loving our country, we have shootings on July 4. I mean, that’s ... oh, you know, that would sound like a conspiracy theory, right?”
Greene also refuses to accept that firearms are the culprit of mass shootings, saying that she believes that SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) a popular anti-depressant could be the cause. However, there is no evidence that the suspect in the Highland Park shooting was taking SSRIs.
On Tuesday July 5th Marjorie tweeted: “When are we going to talk about drugs and SSRI’s? When are they going to release the shooters records? Why wasn’t his threats of mass shootings in his videos taken seriously by LE that knew about him? What did his parents know? Gun control won’t stop this epidemic of evil.”
Despite Greene's claims, millions of people take SSRIs and have for decades and there is no evidence to support her theory they cause gun violence. However, surely that doesn't deter MJT on her pro-gun crusade, as Greene loves conspiracy theories of all kinds.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene always keeps us on our toes, and she was back at it again with a warning that the government wants to monitor what Americans are eating.
Patriot Takes, a right-wing watchdog group posted a clip from MTG's podcast in which she said, "You have to accept the fact that the government totally wants to provide surveillance on every part of your life."
Marjorie then went on to warn the public that the government wants citizens to eat "fake meat" grown in a "peach tree dish."
Greene said: "They want to know when you're eating. They want to know if you're eating a cheeseburger, which is very bad because Bill Gates wants you to eat his fake meat that grows in a peach tree dish."
Ms. Greene then said that if you aren't eating fake meat, you'd better be careful, or the government will make you do so by "zapping" you.
"You'll probably get a little zap inside your body and that's saying 'No, no. Don't eat a real cheeseburger, you need to eat the fake burger, the fake meat, from Bill Gates.'"
In addition to monitoring the food we are consuming, Greene also believes that the government will be keeping track of the public's bathroom habits as well.
"They probably also want to know when you go to the bathroom and if your bowel movements are on time or consistent," she said. "I mean what else do these people want to know?"
When the war broke out in Ukraine, naturally Greene had to share her opinion on Zelensky. Greene said that she agreed with fellow Republican Rep. Madison Cawthorn that Volodymyr Zelensky was "corrupt."
Many of Greene's statements have echoed Putin's talking points about the war, which makes one wonder where she is getting her information from.
Politico reported that during a town hall in Paulding County when Greene was asked, "Do you agree with Madison Cawthorn that Zelensky is corrupt and that the Ukrainian government is corrupt?" To which Marjorie Taylor Greene responded, "Yes and yes. That's an easy one."
Recently in a local conservative talk show, Marjorie Taylor Greene said, "It's shocking to me that Congress is so willing to funnel $14 billion in military equipment over and over again into Ukraine and you have to ask, is this money and is this United States military equipment falling into the hands of Nazis in Ukraine?"
Time magazine reported just how wrong the Nazi rhetoric is when talking about Ukraine. Experts and historians have repeatedly pointed out that Nazis do not dominate Zelensky's government or Ukraine.
