Snowy scenes from the United Kingdom and other European countries

Heavy snowfalls accompanied by freezing temperatures have painted the Britain white over the past few days. Here we see snowy rooftops in Birkenhead, northwest England.

Animals, like this dog photographed in Liverpool, enjoy the snow as much as humans. (As long as the snow doesn't turn into a catastrophic polar storm.)

Another view of Birkenhead, in the United Kingdom. The heavy snowfall caused the closure of up to 100 schools, according to SkyNews, and difficulties for commuters.

Here, we can see the beautiful town of Kitzbuehel, a village in the Austrian Alps, dusted in snow.

This image was taken in the Zakopane snow park in Poland, where, for a few years now, a gigantic labyrinth and sculptures like the one we can see here are created every winter.
