The post from the 110th Brigade noted that the Russian convoy broke through their positions but the troops and equipment that made it through their lines didn’t make it past dawn.

Militarnyi reported most of the Russian military equipment was destroyed by the brigade’s drone operators but no loss figures were provided, though the video shows a lot of destruction.

In the one-minute and eleven-second combat footage, the Russian convoy can be seen approaching Ukrainian positions along a road before it cuts to vehicles being attacked.

The footage is cut together with clips of first-person view kamikaze drones on their attack runs against individual vehicles as well as clips from overhead observational drones that captured the fight.

Most of the video shows drone operators hunting down Russian vehicles in the daytime and it is clear from the footage that at least two vehicles were destroyed in the fighting.

This wasn’t the first time the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade has released combat footage from their battlefield feats. In July 2024, a similar video was posted showing the downing of a Russian fighter jet.

Soldiers from the brigade reportedly shot down a Russian Su-25 that was assaulting their positions in Donetsk using a man-portable air defense system according to Militarnyi.

Footage from that incident showed the soldier firing a missile from a shoulder-launched system which hit the left wing and tail section of the fighter jet and caused it to crash according to Militarnyi.

“The aircraft was critically damaged and crashed near the village of New York,” Militarnyi reported, adding that the pilot ejected from the jet and was later evacuated by search and rescue.

“Two Russian pilots had the insanity to fly virtually close to our positions. One of them was instantly punished for his insolence,” the brigade wrote on its Facebook page according to a translation from Militarnyi.
The Pokrovsk sector is currently one of the most active areas along the frontline and the Ukrainian General Staff reported on August 17th, it saw 25 separate attacks on that day.
On August 19th, Ukrainian authorities ordered the evacuation of Pokrovsk as pushes to capture the city have put its remaining 53,000 residents at risk according to Newsweek.
“Russian troops have been pushing toward Pokrovsk for months after a six-month slog across Ukraine's Donetsk region following the capture of Avdiivka,” Newsweek reported.
