Remembering the silliest MAGA trend: bandaged ears
There is one thing to be said about the MAGA crowd: they sure do know how to entertain with what they wear to Trump rallies! And there have been several different MAGA trends over the years but the most ridiculous ones was the ear bandage trend.
If something can be recognized about Donald Trump and his Communications team, it is their tremendous ability to create powerful messages that resonate with their electorate.
An obvious example is the MAGA (Make America Great Again) caps that fill each and every one of their appearances and that, beyond aesthetics, are quickly recognizable.
Now, what no one expected was that, after the Pennsylvania attack, Trump's appearance with a bandage over his ear at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee has created a trend.
Yes, in solidarity with the Republican leader, many Donald Trump voters have appeared in this way at the convention, generating all kinds of reactions on social media.
Despite the obvious stylistic chaos involved in wearing an ear bandage, many of those who have embraced this trend claim to do so out of empathy, patriotism and admiration for their spiritual and political leader.
In fact, the ear bandage is another addition to the total MAGA look of some attendees, which includes a cap or cowboy hat, t-shirt, badges, stickers, and now the ear bandage, all to show how much they love Donald Trump.
Donald Trump's conversion from candidate to messiah is almost complete and those who put the bandage on their ears in support are the clearest example.
In fact, there are those who confirm that they had no plans of attending the convention originally, but they were prompted to attend after the attack, obviously with their ear bandaged.
The fact that two days later, merchandising related to the attack was already filling stores around the world, makes clear the impact of what happened in Pennsylvania.
Now we will just have to wait and see how long this Trump fad lasts, doubtedly Donald will be milking the shooting for as long as he can, so we wouldn't be surprised if he leaves that bandage on, even once his ear is fully healed!
