The world's wealthiest people don't live where you think they do
There are more than 600,000 ultra high net worth individuals alive today and you might think that they are spread across the world's wealthiest countries but most actually live in just two. Can you guess which ones?
A recent report from Knight Frank revealed where most of the wealthiest people in the world live. But before we look at those countries it's important to know who is considered to be an Ultra High Net Worth individual today? The answer to that question might surprise you.
It turns out that anyone with a personal net worth of more than $30 million dollars is in the Ultra High Net Worth Individual (UHNWI) category, and just two of the world’s big economies are home to more than 50% of these people. Let’s take a look at the data.

It’s important to note that the Knight Frank Wealth Report 2024 was not able to get proper data on several wealth hotspots and were not included in the ranking. These included Belgium, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Russia.
