Trump sent out another awkward message on a holiday

Donald Trump is king of the social media rant but his recent Father’s Day message was not up to snuff when compared with what President Joe Biden blasted out to his followers over the holiday. The two men took very different approaches. 

The former president took to Truth Social on Father’s Day and wrote up an all-caps rant wishing everyone in the country a happy holiday, including all of those radical leftists he explained were turning the United States into a third-world country. 

The Daily Beast pointed out that Trump’s message didn’t reference any of his children, nor did he pour out his thoughts and feelings on his family or being a father. But he did find a way to tell Americans that they needed to choose him in November. 

“HAPPY FATHER’S DAY TO ALL, INCLUDING THE RADICAL LEFT DEGENERATES THAT ARE RAPIDLY BRINGING THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA INTO THIRD WORLD NATION STATUS WITH THEIR MANY ATTEMPTS AT TRYING TO INFLUENCE OUR SACRED COURT SYSTEM INTO BREAKING TO THEIR VERY SICK AND DANGEROUS WILL,” Trump wrote.

“WE NEED STRENGTH AND LOYALTY TO OUR COUNTRY, AND ITS WONDERFUL CONSTITUTION… “EVERYTHING WILL BE ON FULL DISPLAY COME NOVEMBER 5TH, 2024,” Trump added. “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”

Trump’s Father’s Day message came just days after the former president celebrated his 78th birthday by speaking at an unofficial campaign rally held at Palm Beach Country Club where his entire family was present according to The Daily Beast.

The former president’s message to Americans on Father’s Day 2024 contrasted greatly with Joe Biden’s message, which didn’t take the same approach as Trump’s post about the radical left. Biden instead posted something a little more wholesome. 

“Happy Father's Day to all the dads, pops, and father figures who have shown us guidance, encouragement, and unconditional love,” Biden wrote on several of his social media channels on the morning of June 16th. 

“Today and every day, we celebrate the fathers and father figures in our lives who guide us with support and inspire us to be our best selves,” Biden also posted on his official President of the United States X account. 

The difference between Biden's and Trump’s Father’s Day message is a microcosm of the current political landscape in the United States. However, this was not the first time the former president has posted something unhinged on a holiday. 

Newsweek noted that in 2021 Trump posted a similar Father's Day message to the radical left in an email sent to his followers that was shared by former representative Adam Kinzinger on Twitter. The Email read: "Happy Father's Day to all, including the Radical Left, RINOs [Republican in name only], and other Losers of the world. Hopefully, eventually, everyone will come together!"

Mediaite reported that Trump has often used holidays to post wrathful messages to his followers and provided several shocking instances of the former president’s problematic posting. 

For example, in a holiday message in December 2024, Trump published a Christmas on Truth Social calling Special Counsel Jack Smith “deranged” who was hired “fresh from the SWAMP” and went off on several unnamed others 

Trump ended his Christmas message by writing “MAY THEY ROT IN H***,” the former president wrote. “AGAIN, MERRY CHRISTMAS!” Trump employed his all-cap strategy in this post as well. But this wasn’t the only example Mediaite provided. 

In May 2023, Trump posted a Mother’s Day message, again wishing the radical leftists trying to destroy the country a Happy Mother’s Day, and in April 2021 Trump sent out an Easter statement complaining about election fraud. 

One of the worst messages the former president ever posted may have been the one that he published on the 12th anniversary of the September 11th attacks, which saw Trump tweet: “I would like to extend my best wishes to all, even the haters and losers, on this special date, September 11th.”
