Fred Trump called his uncle “atomic crazy”

Fred Trump III, the nephew of former President Trump, called his uncle “atomic crazy” during an interview on ABC’s “Good Morning America” aired Tuesday to promote his new book.

Never-before told stories about the Trump family

The book titled “All in the Family: The Trumps and How We Got This Way,” features “never-before-told stories” about the Trump family and Fred’s  complex relationship with Donald.

“Every family has their crazy uncle”

“Families are complicated. Every family has their crazy uncle,” Fred told the interviewer. “My uncle Donald is atomic crazy”.

“He does things that make me sort of shudder”

When asked to what he meant by “atomic crazy,” Fred Trump (pictured) said his uncle “does things” that make him “sort of shudder” and question if he really knows him.

“He has done really horrific things to me”

He then went on to say that his uncle has done “really horrific things” to him. “Some people will say, ‘how could you still want to have a relationship with him?’ But he’s my uncle, he’s family, and that means a lot,” Fred added.

A book that advocates for people with disabilities

Fred Trump, the son of the former president’s late brother, Fred Trump Jr. (pictured), who died in 1981, told ABC News he saw his book as a way to advocate for those with developmental disabilities, which includes his son, William.

Fred claims Trump suggested people with disabilities should die

Fred claims that during one of his trips to the Oval Office, his uncle suggested those with disabilities “should just die.” He said a similar incident occurred on a phone call with Trump to tell him the medical fund set up by the family for William was running low.

Trump said Fred should “let his disabled son die”

“Without hesitation he said, ‘Your son doesn’t recognize you. Let him die and move to Florida,'” Fred Trump said. “My response was, ‘No, Donald. He does recognize me.'”

Trump reportedly used a racial slur

Trump’s nephew also weighed in on one of the book’s chapters titled “The Race Card,” in which he describes his uncle using the N-word to blame someone for having scratched his convertible.

“He uses people”

But when asked if he thought his uncle was a racist, Fred answered that he didn’t “believe that”. “I think that he uses people, whether they’re Black or they’re, whoever (…) He uses them as props. And when he gets what he needs out of them, votes, he’ll cast them aside,” Fred said.

A “cheap shot” to sell books?

Trump Communications director Steven Cheung denied Fred Trump’s claims in a statement to ‘The Hill’, saying they’re “nothing more than a cheap shot to sell copies of a book that belongs in the bargain bin of the fiction section.”
