Ukrainian partisans say they poisoned a group of Russian soldiers

Ukrainian resistance fighters operating in occupied Mariupol have killed a large group of Russian soldiers in a covert poisoning operation according to a new report by Kyiv Post. 

The unnamed partisans claim to have killed twenty-six soldiers and sent a further fifteen more to the hospital after an operation targeting a new rotation of soldiers inside the city. 

"It became possible because of a new rotation and because the orcs are idiots," noted a member of the partisan group who explained what happened to journalists at Kyiv Post. 

The resistance fighters did not reveal any specifics about their poisoning attack but did say that the soldiers were fed the poison and that the people who prepared the meal were safe. 

Business Insider reported that it wasn’t clear when the alleged poisoning took place and added that the city has been under Russian occupation since it was taken in May 2022.

Resistance inside Mariupol has been alive and well according to Petro Andriushchenko, an adviser to the city's elected Ukrainian mayor, who shared the news of the poisonings.

Andriushchenko wrote on his Telegram that he was proud of the people in Mariupol and added that they had killed as many as forty soldiers since the beginning of the summer. 

In August, Andriushchenko took to Telegram to share news about a very similar incident that saw seventeen soldiers killed with poison and fifteen hospitalized on Russia’s Navy Day. 

Andryushchenko reported cyanide and pesticides were added to food that was served to the soldiers in an attack that allegedly took place at a Russian military facility in the city. 

In July, Ukrainska Pravda reported that the bodies of eight murdered soldiers had been discovered all over the Maruipol over the course of two weeks which the legally elected Mariupol City Council said was like the resultanger on behalf of the city’s residents.
