Russia bombed its own soldiers while they were attempting to surrender to Ukraine

A dramatic video that has been made public shows a group of Russian soldiers who wanted to surrender to Ukraine being bombed by their own military with a kamikaze drone.

Kyiv Post and other international news outlets recently reported that the Russian Armed Forces were caught by Ukrainian drones attacking their own troops with drones while those troops were trying to surrender.

On September 28th, Russian forces launched an attack against Ukraine’s 33rd Separate Mechanized Brigade near the village of Kostiantynivk, but the attack was halted, which lead to a gruesome incident.

"The attack was halted after the lead elements of the column struck a minefield and were then hit by follow-up strikes by the Brigade’s first-person view (FPV) kamikaze drones, according to statements by Kyiv’s Military Center," Kyiv Post explained.

"Although the main assault was stopped in its tracks it seems that a number of Russian infantry disembarked and took cover in a tree line close to the 33rd’s position, apparently preparing to continue the assault on foot," Kyiv Post added.

Seven soldiers abandoned their weapons and left the woods with what appeared to be the intention to surrender. Ukrainian forces sent drones out to the surrounding soldiers to lead. However, the Russian soldiers were soon allegedly attacked by their own side.

At first, the seven soldiers could be seen raising their hands and leaving cover to surrender. But the attempt ends tragically when the situation escalates.

The soldiers were surrounded on the front line in the Donetsk region and saw no way out except to surrender. But the reaction of their own army surprised them.
