15 embarrassing moments from Trump’s time in office you might not remember

Donald Trump did a lot of things that embarrassed the country while he was in office, so much so that it's hard to remember some of his more cringy moments. Buzzfeed News collected 84 of Trump's worst moments but here are the top fifteen that you probably forgot about, with the pictures! 

Imagine winning a national football championship and getting invited to the White House only to be served McDonald's, Wendy's, and Burger King. That’s exactly what happened to the players of the Clemson University Tigers in 2019. 

The 2018 G7 Summit in Canada must have been a doozy of a meeting because, by the second day of the event, it was quite clear that almost every other world leader was fed up with Trump and his hard-bargaining ‘deals.’

This one has to be high on the list of most outrageous things ever uttered by the former president. Trump also said sunshine would help according to BBC News, which is what you’d probably want to start with if you had to choose.

The former president has allegedly always had a huge obsession with trucks. So it must have made his day when he got to do a photo op in a semi-truck. The pictures were so hilarious they got turned into a picturebook. 

The former president spent a weekend in hospital being treated for COVID-19 but upon his return to the White House, Trump removed his mask and gave the cameras two big thumbs up. It was a very mixed message for the country. 

One of the most awkward moments of Trump’s presidency has to be when he locked his eyes onto an American flag, tenderly embracing the Star Spangled Banner and giving it a big smooch for the cameras. 

People say George Bush had the worst hurricane response of any president but Trump might just give Bush a run for his money. Remember when the former president tossed out paper towels to Puerto Ricans affected by Hurricane Maria? 

If you own a modern phone then auto-correct has almost certainly affected you at one point. But was it behind Trump’s weird midnight ‘covfefe’ tweet in 2017? Whatever the reason for the mixup, it sure made him look bad on the world stage. 

In 2017, Trump spoke at the National Scout Jamboree and was his usual, rambling self. The former president talked about the crowd size and shared some highly inappropriate stories about his debaucherous boat parties according to The Intelligencer. 

Trump was showing off a map of Hurricane Dorian’s trajectory during a briefing at the White House and appeared to have been altered with a black Sharpie. The media had a field day speculating how that happened. 

The former president used what appeared to be scotch tape to hold his tie in place while on a visit to an Indianapolis air conditioning company. There isn’t really anything special to say here. It was just one of those uniquely embarrassing Trump moments…

This picture was the epitome of awkward Trump as a world leader. While attending the 31st Association of South East Asian Nations Summit in the Philippines, Trump got into this awkward handshake situation and the images were just horrible. 

His second photo really puts the buffoonery of the Trump presidency into focus. To the left of the former president is Vietnam's Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, and to his right is Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte. 

This one was a little more embarrassing for Trump than the nation, and mostly because the White House lawn boy decided not to stop his work and talk to the former president despite his best efforts according to The Independent.

Baseball might be America’s favorite pastime but the former president showed that he had probably never tossed a ball around before playing catch with New York Yankees Hall of Fame pitcher Mariano Rivera on the White House South Lawn.
