217 doses of vaccine!

Yes, you read that correctly! A man was administered no less than 217 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine in the space of 29 months in Germany. What happened ?

A man in his sixties

As reported by the Huffington Post, a 62-year-old man from the city of Magdeburg, in the east of the country received an abnormal amount of COVID-19 vaccinations.

An undetected action

It was a long time before anyone noticed the issue, because the individual went to vaccination centers without a health insurance card.

Certificate fraud

But what were his motivations? Citing German media, the French broadcaster 'BFMTV' reported that the man wanted to obtain as many vaccines certificates as possible in order to resell them to people who did not want to be vaccinated.

An object of study for scientists

This German man naturally became an object of study for scientists. Researchers from the University of Erlangen, who invited him to take tests, confirmed the existence of “only” 134 doses in an article published on the faculty’s website.

No immune weakening

Wishing to evaluate the effects on immunity of this hyper-vaccination individual, the researchers did not note any weakening of the immune system. However, according to some theories, excessive vaccination would make it less effective by habituating immune cells to the antibodies.

A large number of T cells

The tests also revealed a high presence of T cells (responsible for fighting Covid), greater than in a control group of individuals having received three doses.

Unchanged efficiency

And the T cells were equally effective in both cases. Furthermore, the immune system of humans vaccinated more than 200 times was still as effective against other pathogens.

An unrepresentative case

However, scientists point out that this is only an individual case, in no way representative of the entire population. Such a multiplication of doses therefore remains strictly discouraged!

Three doses are enough

According to the Huffington Post, Doctor Kilian Schober of the University of Erlangen recalls that "current research indicates that a three-dose vaccination, combined with regular complementary vaccines for vulnerable groups," remains the preferred approach.

No need for multiply doses

“There is no indication that we need to increase the number of vaccines,” adds this microbiology researcher.

An open judicial investigation

What will be the consequences of this unusual case? A judicial investigation has been opened into the fraud allegations, but no criminal action has been taken at this stage.
