Trump mocked a heckler in a terrible way at a recent campaign rally
Donald Trump’s recent campaign rallies have become increasingly characterized by the moments that continue tp reveal the former president’s nasty nature, and this was quite true for his October 12th rally in Coachella, California.
Trump’s California campaign rally was loaded with what The Washington Post said was “insult-laced speech” the former president used to portray “a dark image of the country and demonized undocumented immigrants.” But there was one particularly nasty moment that turned heads.
The former president was ranting about Kamala Harris and the November 5th election being an opportunity for voters to send a message when a woman was escorted out of his rally directly behind Trump while he was speaking.
“We’re not going to let Kamala Harris do to America what she did to California. We’re not going to let it happen. So whether you are Democrat, Republican, or independent, this election is your chance to send a message,” Trump said according to Mediaite.
Just as the former president finished, Trump turned around to watch security escort the women out of his rally. It was later reported that the woman was protesting and heckling the former president.
The crowd loudly booed the woman as she was escorted out of the event, and the former president decided to go off-teleprompter when he turned his attention back to his rally. Sadly, Trump’s comments about the heckler seemed to promote violence.
“Back home to mommy, she goes back home to mommy,” Trump said according to The Washington Post. Trump then went through a weird and detailed explanation of what his brain made up about what the woman would face when she got home.
“Was that you darling?” Trump questioned rhetorically, presumably putting himself in the shoes of the woman’s mother, before adding: “And she gets the h**l knocked out of her.”
“Her mother’s a big fan of ours, you know that right? Her father, her mother. You always have that,” Trump continued before he turned his attention to a different topic.
Mediaite reported that Trump’s comments provoked outrage online with some users on X noting his remarks appeared to be an endorsement of violence against women. However, this wasn't the first time the former president has endorsed violence at one of his rallies.
The Washington Post reported that after a 2016 campaign rally in Las Vegas, candidate Trump complained about a heckler that had annoyed him. He also said that he wanted to punch that heckler in the face.
“Here’s a guy throwing punches, nasty as h***, screaming at everybody,” Trump stated. “I’d like to p u n c h him in the face.”During the same 2016 campaign, Trump also made a similar remark suggesting he wanted to “knock the c***” out of possible hecklers.
